  1. Carry around mints/gum to not offend yourself and others with keto-breadth
  2. If you’re having low energy spells consuming ketones or MCT oil can get you through
  3. Don’t eat too much protein — more than 4–5 oz per meal. Excess protein gets turned into glucose via gluconeogenesis
  4. Drink a ton of water, as during ketosis your body tends to dump it. Adding a bit of salt will help you retain a little more of it.
  5. Artificial sweeteners may or may not cause an insulin response in you. So far the one least likely to is stevia.
  6. If you’re going to drink, be aware that (1) your tolerance will be lower and (2) you can only have liquors, club soda, & water if you want to avoid carbs.
  7. Keto Blood Meters are way more accurate than the strips.
